Working in mid-January presented added challenges. Frozen ground can significantly slow excavation and increase wear on equipment. Before trenching could begin, our operators carefully broke through the frost layer to reach workable soil beneath the surface.

Once past the frozen top layer, we continued excavation while maintaining precise trench dimensions and clean lines in accordance with the builder’s specifications.

The primary trench on this project featured an L-shaped layout measuring:

• 3 feet deep

• Approximately 45 feet long
